🎉Students of the Month🎉

January

At South, we’re proud to recognize students who go above and beyond in demonstrating the core values that define our school community, Citizenship, Integrity, and Achievement (CIA). Each month, teachers nominate students who exemplify these traits through their actions, attitude, and effort both in and out of the classroom.

Students of the Month may be recognized for showing kindness and respect toward others, being dependable and honest, striving to meet personal and academic goals, or making a positive difference in our school. While good grades and attendance matter, this recognition is really about celebrating students who consistently show great character and embody what it means to be a South Eagle.

Please join us in congratulating our Students of the Month for representing what it truly means to show Citizenship, Integrity, and Achievement every day at South!

Chromebook Reminders

As you know, Chromebooks were checked out to students last week. During our class meetings, we also discussed expectations for care and responsible use. These devices are an essential learning tool in the classroom, and it is critical that students have them charged and ready to use every single day.

Here are a few important reminders:
  • 🔋 Charge nightly – Please remind your student to plug in their Chromebook each evening so it’s fully charged before school.
  • 💻 Bring it daily – Chromebooks should come to school every day, just like any other essential school material.
  • ⚠️ Report issues promptly – If a student experiences a problem with their Chromebook (technical issue, damage, or malfunction), they should let a teacher know immediately. Our building tech specialist will address the issue so learning isn’t disrupted.
  • Use appropriately – Students are expected to use their Chromebooks for learning purposes only. They should follow school guidelines and avoid personalizing, altering, or misusing the device in any way.

Thank you for helping your student build strong habits of responsibility and preparedness, skills that will support both their learning and independence.

Don't forget...STUDENT CHECK-OUT PROTOCOL

We are moving to a new student check-out system as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance safety and security in the building. As always, safety remains our top priority, and to help ensure the well-being of every student, anyone signing out a student during the school day must have a valid photo ID. This process will help us keep accurate records and make student check-outs more efficient while maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
